I have 8+ years experience and provide counselling and safe trauma therapy for adults and young people who may be struggling. When looking for a counsellor there are a number of things to consider, but I believe the top priority is that you feel comfortable. The therapeutic relationship forms the foundation on which our work together will be based. It is vital you feel able to speak freely, which is why I offer a free, 15 minute, no obligation chat where we can get to know each other a little. I began my counselling training many years ago, after having personal therapy to help me with anxiety. I was inspired by the compassion and understanding my therapist offered me. You don't have to do it alone People seek counselling for all sorts of reasons such as relationship issues, anxiety, childhood experiences, work issues, depression, loneliness, loss and bereavement (including pets), low self-esteem, life changes and many more. I feel truly privileged to be entrusted with these thoughts and feelings.

Therapy should fit in with your life. I'm here to help support you and that means working together on the best approach for your well-being and mental health. It can be difficult opening up, but it can also be the first step to the life you want. I believe therapy should be as individual as you. As an Integrative therapist, I include exploration around attachment styles, values, core beliefs, current behaviours and your relationships. Whether we are looking at your past, present or working towards a goal in the future, we can do so together in a way that is safe, practical and above all, at the pace that is comfortable for you.

Hi, my name is Rebecca. I decided to become a counsellor because I wanted to devote the rest of my working life to making a difference. My own training and personal counselling have helped me to overcome issues in my own life and now I get to use that experience to help others. I have experience of clients with anxiety and depression, relationship issues, narcissistic abuse, trauma, childhood trauma, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem and would welcome listening to any other issue. I work as an integrative counsellor, which means I use different therapeutic approaches and adjust my methods to suit my client’s needs. I always work in a calm and relaxed way with the utmost respect for my client’s vulnerabilities. If you are feeling overwhelmed by anxiety and/or depression or having difficulty managing your emotions, I can help support you, if you are struggling with loneliness, panic, shame or sadness I can help you to understand where these feelings are coming from and start to navigate through them. People seek counselling for different reasons. Some because of a sudden life event that has left them feeling misplaced such as a bereavement or divorce, some to confront past trauma and some to address day to day issues such as anxiety or low self-esteem. Whatever has led you here has brought you a step closer to finding closure or improving your day to day life. If you would like more information, please get in touch.

My passion lies in guiding those navigating personal and relationship complexities, divorce, separation, medical issues, and various psychosexual concerns including painful sex, sexual dysfunctions, challenges with libido and intimacy, and other personal crises. I aim to offer a safe haven for individuals to explore their desires and aspirations. My ethos is simple: “Therapy is for the brave, not just the “broken”!” Seeking support is a courageous step that allows us to uncover new perspectives, heal past wounds, & deepen connections with ourselves & others. Hi, I'm Jade – a warm and approachable therapist offering a calm, supportive space for both children and adults. In addition to my private practice, I work as a counsellor in a senior school, which has given me extensive experience supporting adolescents through the ups and downs of life. As an integrative counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, tailoring my work to suit your unique needs. Central to my practice is creating a non-judgemental space where you can explore whatever you're facing with honesty and compassion. Alongside my professional training, I bring lived experience of mental health challenges and my own personal therapy path, as well as the ongoing journey of parenting a child with additional needs. These experiences have deepened my empathy, resilience, and belief in the power of safe, open communication. I'm passionate about helping people feel seen, supported, and more confident in who they are. Whether you're navigating anxiety, overwhelm, low mood, or simply need a space to talk, The Listening Room could be the supportive environment you're looking for.

My counselling is built on a foundation of acceptance, respect, and safety creating a place where you can really talk to a person who will really listen. I have worked for several years within a bereavement charity, sitting with people in their grief, witnessing the extremes of love and sorrow. I see those difficult thoughts and emotions, and I endeavor to bring light to that darkness, opening the door to hope. These challenges can persist beyond grief too. I know firsthand the impact of anxiety and the isolation of depression, this experience deepened by my training allows me to work effectively with these issues as well as suicidal ideation, low self-esteem, loss of identity, motivation, anger and other difficult experiences. I strive to build a strong relationship with each client, helping them navigate life’s challenges with greater strength and self-compassion. With a Degree in Counselling and several years of post-qualification client-work, I bring both personal experience and professional expertise to my practice. I am trauma-informed, IFS-informed and trained in Suicide ASIST. My core training is Person-Centred, working in a variety of ways with you, to suit your needs.

My name is Alison and I'm an accredited member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). Qualifications: DipHE in Person Centred Counselling Certificate in CBT My own experience of therapy inspired me to help others in the way that my counsellor had for me. I discovered a passion for wanting to change the lives of others through the therapy of talking and my journey to becoming a qualified counsellor began in 2002 after working in Human Resources for many years. I have 18 years experience as a counsellor and work with a trauma informed approach, specialising in providing therapy to survivors of domestic and/or sexual abuse including adult survivors of childhood abuse for several years. I offer short or long term counselling for but not limited to: anxiety; depression; PTSD; OCD; recovery from domestic and/or sexual abuse; addiction; loss and bereavement; stress; problems in the workplace; low self esteem; disordered eating; family, parental, relationship challenges; identity. I also offer brief solution focused therapy that works by focusing on specific goals and exploring ways and resources that will help you in reaching them. I have also worked for an early intervention service that supports children, young people, and families. This experience has provided me with a deep understanding of the complexities of family life, and I can help you navigate the challenges you may be facing as a parent or carer.
